Who We Are

At Highway Youth Group Urban Network (HYGUN), we are a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable individuals in Mathare and beyond. Since our establishment in June 2015, our mission has been to support widows, orphans, and underserved families through financial aid, educational sponsorships, and welfare programs. We believe in creating a better future by promoting growth, unity, and prosperity. Our focus is on providing low-interest loans, facilitating educational opportunities, and ensuring the well-being of our members through comprehensive support systems.

Our Objectives

  • To promote development amongst our members and the
    community at large.
  • Provide an aiding hand to our members and the
    community Education support.
  • Join hands with other like-minded stake holders in fighting
    poverty which is a threat to our development through individual soft loans issued by the Group.
  • Through association with our members, provide life assurance
    cover policy to them and their families.
  • To support member and family welfare through outpatient
    medical cover and last respect support to the bereived member or
    thier family .
  • Giving back to the community through supporting livelihoods of
    widows and needy but bright orphans at thier lower level of
    education.

    Membership

    • Eligibility: 18 years and above
    • Registration Fee: Kshs. 3,500 annually (non-refundable)
    • Monthly Premium: Kshs. 100 per family
    • Renewal: Kshs. 500
    • Meetings: Every Sunday from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
    • Registration Period: January – March
    • Required Documents:
      • Filled membership form
      • ID copies of the principal member and dependents
      • Birth certificate for children under 18
      • Coloured passport photo

    Founded on June 15, 2015, Highway Youth Group Mathare 4A aims to support vulnerable community members. Initiatives include financial support for widows, sponsoring basic education for orphans, and offering low-interest loans to members through our Table Banking Programme. Grow and support members livelihoods
    and taking care of members welfare through medical
    insurance, last respect cover and support.
